The encampment at the underpass of 42nd and MLK has reached a critical point, with safety concerns escalating over the past four months. Rampant drug use, frequent fires, and hazardous conditions are endangering both pedestrians and drivers.

The encampment's growth has obstructed pedestrian pathways, rendering the area inaccessible for foot traffic. Additionally, vehicles navigating through the site encounter major issues due to trash blocking pathways and potholes, posing significant safety hazards. Moreover, the presence of open fires, drug use, and individuals openly injecting heroin exacerbates the dangers associated with the area.

It's imperative that immediate action is taken to address these safety hazards. As this matter requires prompt attention and resolution, we urge management to prioritize the implementation of effective measures to mitigate the risks posed by the encampment.

    Dear City of Oakland Authorities,

We are facing an emergency situation on our zoned business street. For two weeks, an illegal RV has been squatting, posing grave safety risks and inflicting severe disruptions on local businesses. Despite our relentless efforts and outreach to the mayor's office, no tangible action has been taken.

The occupants are flagrantly engaging in illegal activities, including burning firewood, disposing of human waste, and emitting hazardous substances. The putrid stench permeates the area, repelling customers and crippling business operations. Deliveries are relentlessly delayed, resulting in debilitating financial losses.

The situation is intolerable and demands immediate intervention. We cannot overstate the urgency of the matter. The city must act swiftly to remove the RV and address these urgent safety hazards before irreparable harm occurs.

Subject: Urgent Request for Removal of Illegal RV Squatting on Zoned Business Street - burning illegal items in unsafe area

I am writing to bring to your attention a pressing issue that requires immediate action from the city. There is an RV unlawfully squatting on our zoned business street, causing significant disruption to the operations of local businesses and posing serious safety concerns to the community.

For over two weeks now, this RV, along with two accompanying cars, has been illegally parked on our zoned business street, obstructing delivery access for multiple businesses in the area. Despite attempts to address the situation, the owners of the RV have shown no signs of cooperation or willingness to vacate the premises.

Moreover, the occupants of the RV have been engaging in hazardous activities, including burning firewood under a tarp. Not only does this pose a fire risk to nearby properties and businesses, but it also emits dangerous substances that could potentially lead to a catastrophic incident.

Furthermore, there are suspicions that corrosive agents may be present within the vicinity of the RV, posing additional risks to public safety and the environment.

Given the gravity of the situation and the immediate threat it poses to the safety and well-being of our community, I urge the city to take swift and decisive action to remove the illegally parked RV and its occupants from our zoned business street.

If necessary, I am prepared to escalate this matter to the media to raise awareness and garner support for our cause. Additionally, I will encourage neighboring businesses to mobilize their legal teams to address this issue collectively if the city fails to take appropriate action promptly.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that the city will act swiftly to resolve this pressing issue and ensure the safety and prosperity of our community.

There is a black Mercedes Benz license # 7AJD478
Model S430 that has been parked in the same spot on this street for going on a month now. This is frustrating as parking is really tight on this street, the street has traffic during the day because of Amber House and the mosque, and this car and its owner is monopolizing this parking space and preventing others in the neighborhood from being able to utilize it. If nothing is done about this, the car will potentially be parked here for months or even longer which is a consistent parking issue on this street!
